BIKU DAYS of the classes 4AG/AR, 4BG, 4CR & 4DR in October 2024

Spending three days with native speakers – only speaking English? That’s what we, the 4^th graders of Sachsenbrunn, have done in this school year!

The so-called “BIKU DAYS” are a great opportunity to improve English pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary skills. Apart from that, the most important aspect is to have fun! At the beginning of the project, we were able to choose a topic from a variety of options. We chose “Sports & Games” (3 groups) and “Drama” (1 group), and spent three great days with our instructors Jeff, Jay, and Brendon.

In the sports course, there was a lot of American football because the two trainers were both from the USA. They showed us how to properly throw and catch the ball. We were in the gym every day! Jay and Brendon were both so funny, and we had a lot of fun doing sports and speaking English!

The drama course was the best thing ever. We were able to work freely, and our trainer Jeff was very relaxed and calm. We did some grammar exercises, but apart from that, we played a lot of games, and in the end we even wrote our own English play, which we acted out on the last day of our project.

All in all, it was a great experience for us and we had a really wonderful time! We were all sad that the BIKU DAYS ended after three days and would have loved to spend more time with our nice teachers, improving our English speaking skills!
